Scripted family comedy
Violation Notice
The neighborhood is picture-perfect. The rulebook is another story.
Logline
When a charismatic former touring entertainer moves his family into a picture-perfect planned community, one petty violation turns him into the reluctant voice of a neighborhood revolt against an HOA board that treats curb appeal like national security.
The world
In Juniper Ridge, even trash cans and pool rules can spark a feud. C.J. Jackson and his family find that fitting in means navigating neighbors, power plays and an HOA with an eye for every detail except its own contradictions.
Episode engine
A notice becomes an appeal, factions form, a meeting goes sideways and the verdict lands. A short closing reveal, “The Actual Violation,” shares the real-world dispute that inspired the fictional episode.
Pilot
“The Deep End” brings the family face-to-face with Juniper Ridge's pool rules and the personalities who enforce them. Every new rule opens another front in a larger neighborhood comedy.
Development note
Created by Donny McGuire. The family and neighborhood are fictional; real HOA accounts inform the premise and would require verification and clearance before use. No performer is represented as attached.
A comedy about belonging, selective enforcement and the tiny rules that make people lose their minds.
